one of the most controversial of all Japanese films.

Made in 1976, directed by Nagisa Ôshima and lasting 109 minutes.
This film stars Tatsuya Fuji, Eiko Matsuda, Aoi Nakajima, Meika Seri.

The film portrays the torrid affair between a hotel owner (Fuji) and one of his servants (Matsuda).
Retreating from the militarist realities of mid-1930s Japan, the couple falls into a passionate,
all-consuming – and ultimately destructive – world of their own.
