【今夜】YUMI ITO & SZYMON MIKA日波ジャズ・Hammersmith 2月24日金

ロンドン在住のジャズファンの皆さま。今週はハマースミスのPoskポーランド文化センターで、ジャズイベントが開催されます。

YUMI ITO氏（ボーカル）とSZYMON MIKA氏（ギター）は今宵新作の「Ekual」の曲を特別アレンジして演奏します。この若い、鮮やかなポーランド日本ジャズデュオは誠にお勧めします！

The Polish-Japanese duo Szymon Mika & Yumi Ito (Szymon Mika - guitars and Yumi Ito - vocals) will play material from their latest release "Ekual”, and few covers arranged for a duo setting.

Yumi Ito is a musician with Japanese and Polish roots whose music is an amalgam of jazz, art-pop, electronica and neo-classical, which can be flexibly performed solo, duo or with her trio.

Szymon Mika was voted Poland’s Best Guitarist in the 2022 Jazz Top poll, run by Jazz Forum magazine. He combines influences from Polish folklore, experimental music, groove jazz as well as free improvisation in his music

What do the video game “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” and Joni Mitchell’s album “Hejira” have in common? Both blend elements from an established genre and fresh influences to create a timeless work of art. On their new album “Ekual” Yumi Ito & Szymon Mika create such a brew. Yumi Ito and Szymon Mika perform as one, like two kindred spirits.
