Chrysanthemum 菊 festival 2020 focus group
Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew will launch in October 2020 a brand-new annual festival celebrating Chrysanthemums. The festival will draw inspiration from Japan and large eye-catching displays of vibrant Chrysanthemums will fill the Temperate House.
As part of its planning process, Kew Gardens would like to conduct two focus groups with members of the Japanese community in London, to obtain their views on the Chrysanthemums Festival.
For the purposes of the research, we would like to include a wide range of ages and genders, of first- and second-generation members of the diaspora, who are not associated professionally or in a voluntary capacity with promoting Japan.
The focus groups will be conducted in English, on Saturday the 7th of December 2019, at Kew Gardens, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Each focus group will last approximately 2 hours and will consist of a maximum of ten participants. Refreshments will be offered, the atmosphere will be relaxed and informal and the session will be lively and enjoyable. As a way of thanking participants for their contribution, Kew Gardens would like to offer free entry for two people to enter the Gardens on the day of the focus group and two complimentary tickets for two people during the Chrysanthemum Festival in October 2020.
Kew Gardens has commissioned Sphere Insights Ltd to conduct the research. If any members of your organisation are interested in taking part in the focus groups, can they please email Suzanne.Brown@sphereinsights.co.uk with answers to the following questions, so Suzanne can provide more information. The contact details will reside solely with Sphere Insights Ltd, will only be used for the purposes of the research and will remain completely confidential.
