Japanese Speaking Customer Service Assistant
We are looking for a Japanese Speaking Customer Service Assistant to join the team based at our online warehouse office. You will also be responsible for providing customer service to customers through either phone or email enquiries. This will entail orders from our online store as well as wholesale customers.
• Timely completion of daily administration tasks such as order management, payment and labels, and handling enquiries.
• Following up on leads with wholesale customers to assist with sales.
• Managing and editing wholesale orders and liaising with purchasing and warehouse departments to ensure correct stock levels available are communicated to customers.
• Reply promptly, accurately and politely to enquiries by email or phone as necessary in English as well as Japanese. Taking responsibility for resolving customer complaints as quickly as possible using the escalation process where necessary, aiming to turn a negative into a positive.
• Handling email enquiries from customers in a timely manner
• Helping with the dispatching orders with the couriers if needed
• Being aware of overdue/urgent orders and reacting appropriately when orders may not meet the correct time frame and informing customers of delays
• Help with labelling and picking of orders due to busy periods as necessary
• Any other Ad Hoc duties.
• Computer literate
• A keen interest/knowledge of Japanese cuisine and other Japanese products
• Able to manage time efficiently and delivery a variety of projects to a tight deadline as necessary
• Team player with the ability to develop good working relationships
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and with a variety of people at all levels
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Experience in customer service in a similar retail environment
• Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK.
• Japanese Speaker to native/fluent level. English Speaker to fluent level.
