<Permanent> Web Admin/Copywriter

Monday to Friday, 9am - 6 pm (40 hours)

Responsibilities
• Write informative, brand-right descriptions and compelling marketing copy in English across all formats (editorial, product, newsletter, banners etc.)
• Create newsletters
• Create and manage promotional banners across English and Japanese websites
• Create and translate contents from Japanese packaging for new item creation
• Help the Online team with administration of web pages & products
• Ensure consistency, accuracy and adherence to Japan Centre copy standards
• Liaise with the internal team to ensure our product pages/merchandising are accurate and up-to-date
• Assist with SEO project as required
• Provide cover for your colleagues as required, assist with other duties as requested
• Proofreading and editing site contents
• Take images of products and edit it by using Photoshop
• Design and create visual communications, such as adverts, presentations, newsletters, and reports when required
• Assisting with affiliate marketing planning, newsletter and commission validations
• Ad-hoc administrational duties as needed

Skills & Qualifications
• Experience in copywriting, preferably in a retail environment
• Native English speaker with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate in spoken and written English
• Candidate should be fluent in written and spoken Japanese
• Computer literate
• A keen interest/knowledge of Japanese cuisine and other Japanese products
• Able to manage time efficiently and deliver a variety of projects to a tight deadline as necessary
• Team player with the ability to develop good working relationships
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and with a variety of people at all levels
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• A working understanding of marketing principles
• Interest in or familiarity with Japanese culture a plus
• Knowledge of Photoshop is a plus
