School Office Administration Manager
We are a well-established, friendly English language school (part of an international group), looking for a reliable, competent, organised, dedicated and flexible person to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a busy Office/Reception, ensuring that all administration and operational duties are up to date, and deal with corporate customers and students.

You need to be self-motivated, professional and capable of managing the office work load and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:

• To work using your own initiative, to prioritise tasks and to be able to manage and supervise others in order to meet tight deadlines.
• An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
• To communicate effectively and accurately in writing, in person and on the telephone to potential and existing students and agents.
• To process students’ applications, create invoices and issue confirmation letters and receipts.
• To manage weekly student registers, student data records, end-of-course certificates and student arrivals and departures.
• Implement and enforce health and safety procedures.
• Ensure that student welfare and safeguarding is maintained within the school.
• Produce weekly and monthly reports.
• Manage students’ accommodation requirements and liaise with the Accommodation Officer.

Desirable Skills and Experience:
• Strong secretarial, administrative, management and operational skills
• Ability to do accurate bookkeeping
• Excellent written and spoken English - Native Speaker or Bilingual Proficiency Level
• Previous experience in the EFL industry for example English Teacher, School Administrator.

Normal working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm (on Mondays an 8.30am start is common if we have many students starting). The successful applicant will occasionally need to be able to work late, start early or work at weekends if required by the business (time off will be given in lieu). Additionally an emergency phone will need to be carried outside business hours during an allocated time.

Training will be given to the successful candidate.

An Enhanced DBS check will be required if the candidate is successful.

Salary: A good salary will be offered to the successful candidate and is dependent on experience. Opportunity for salary review within 6 months may be offered dependant on performance.
