Design / Sample Room Work Placement

Job Description:
We are currently working on Autumn/Winter 18 collection and are offering a Placement opportunity for Students to help out in the studio.

We are in the design development stage at the moment, toiling new designs as the season goes on so good sewing skills are essential. You will also be helping out with simple pattern alterations after fittings. If you have good sketching skills you may assist with technical drawings and sketches. We are a small team and you have the chance to be as involved in the process of the collection/business as you like.

The collection will be shown at Paris Fashion Week and will have a catwalk show in Beijing during March 2018.

Amongst other things you will be assisting with:
Design Research
Pattern Cutting Development
Toile Development
Tech Packs (Illustrator)
Sourcing and developing fabrics for for new season.

What you will learn / we will teach you:
You will be taught alterations and drafting techniques, by partaking in fittings where you can observe how to make alterations and changes to fit.
You will be develop or try out different garment finishin techniques.
We will teach you how to use and ncessary skills in Adobe Illustrator
We will each you all the different stages of development from sketch, to toile, to final sample.
