Position
We are looking for dedicated translation professionals who are passionate and knowledgeable about fashion, cosmetics and other life-style products and have some previous experience in these areas, as well as having great familiarity with current Japanese language. You need to thrive on the fast-pace of client demands, and be able to competently handle a variety of linguistic tasks: translating, reviewing, post-editing, updating glossaries, creating style guides, coming up with slogans and with attractive texts that will appeal to your culture.

Main Responsibilities
You will be involved in translating product descriptions, training materials, website content, banners, taglines, marketing copy, user interfaces and operating instructions for lifestyle clients (mainly fashion and beauty, but also household goods, etc.).

Key requirements
• Translation/Transcreation experience, including in lifestyle products, fashion, cosmetics or similar
• High standard of translating to your mother tongue, plus very good English
• Ability to write fluently in a style and register adapted to the target audience
• Ability to follow instructions closely
• Ability to produce excellent translations even under time pressure
• Familiarity with CAT tools, preferably including MemoQ and Smartling
• Ability to think outside the box
• Flexibility and a positive attitude
• Good communication skills
• Professional approach and commitment to quality
• Able to work autonomously as well as within a team
