Job Description

Butterfly Consulting is a leading independent rights publishing agency selling foreign language rights for consumer books and magazines, school text books, audio visual materials and online educational services globally.
Butterfly also provides media companies with translation services.
We are looking to appoint enthusiastic and positive people aiming to take the next step in their career by joining our team as a Japanese Publishing Rights Sales Intern.

Publishing Rights Sales Account Manager Responsibilities and Duties

The role will focus on finding new Japanese publishers to purchase foreign language rights for a wide range of editorial products.
Additionally to find new companies to offer Butterfly’s translation services.

Key responsibilities will include –
• Research companies to offer rights or services.
• Contact suitable companies by phone and email to secure agreements.
• Account manage new customers.
• Administrative duties: facilitate the smooth running of sales campaigns, including updating and maintaining customer information in our CRM

Qualifications and Skills

• Excellent numeracy and written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail, from deal construction to updating sales records.
• Good negotiator who enjoys using the phone and meeting new people.
• Ability to self-motivate and take responsibility and ownership of tasks.
• Ability to learn new skills, including understanding of copyright and license deal terms.

Butterfly systems are cloud based facilitating our team to work remotely globally. The post is home based with supervisory and training sessions conducted weekly through Zoom or Skype.

Remuneration
Ten percent of fess retained and received by Butterfly for all sales created by you during your internship.
