Renewables Internship - Japanese speaker in London

The role will involve working within the Markets Insight team and you'll assist on the collection of data for the inhouse tools and databases for the Japanese and other Asian offshore wind markets. The role requires a proactive and motivated candidate with excellent Japanese language skills who is currently studying in English in London/UK.

Xodus is offering a 0 hours contract on the understanding that this role is for a student who is currently studying and needs to balance this internship with their other commitments. The expectation would be for the student to work remotely between one to four hours a week, depending on the student’s availability. For example, during exam time we would not expect you to be available.

Job Role:
• Support on maintaining and updating inhouse databases
• Detailed searches of websites and publicly available resources for information on the offshore wind supply chain in Japan
• Adhoc support of Japan’s Country Manager e.g. Translation of short documents or passages of text and preparing short memos or emails in Japanese.

Qualifications/Skill/Competencies
• Native Japanese Speaker required with fluency in English. The majority of this work will require working with Japanese text.
• Ability to work remotely and autonomously
• Attention to detail
• Experienced in using excel and managing large datasets
• Team player comfortable with interfacing at all levels
• Good knowledge of Microsoft office, advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are an advantage

We do not expect any previous knowledge or experience of the Renewables/Energy industry, a positive attitude and willingness to learn is what we are looking for. The candidate must speak fluent English and have the right to study in the UK.
