English Teacher

Salary: £11 - £14 an hour (depending on qualification and experience)

Working hours: 09:00 - 14:45, Monday to Friday, term time only. Plus 2 hours after school club two days a week. (approximately 39 weeks a year).

Start Date: 4th January 2023

Main responsibilities:
To plan and deliver English Lessons for children aged 2-6 years.
To regularly (informally) assess children's progress and needs and complete their progress summaries end of each term.
To engage in play with children to create an immersive environment providing greater language exposure for children.
To facilitate "Enjoy English" our after-school club twice a week.
To develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child's development.
To deliver an appropriate play-based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress.
To help ensure the kindergarten meets Ofsted requirements at all times.
To understand and work in line with the kindergarten policies and procedures, including how to deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints and emergencies.
To work in partnership with senior management to update and review the self-evaluation and improvement plan.

Essential Qualification and Experience:
CELTA/TEFL or similar qualification
Native English speaker
Experience teaching young children.
