Shop Assistant at SAKE COLLECTIVE (retail&bar)
Contract Term: Full-time permanent
⏰Contracted Hours: Opening hours 3pm - 11pm + 30 min before and after the opening hours, Tuesday to Saturday. 40h per week with high flexibility. (The initial period will be based on the current opening hours 1pm-9pm, which will change to the new opening hours from September.)
Start Date: September 2023

Mirai Sake International LTD is a start-up specialising in the Japanese alcoholic beverages trade. In 2022, we opened in East London SAKE COLLECTIVE, the first retail shop/bar offering, both in-store and online, the largest selection of sake in the UK, alongside few other types of Japanese drinks such as shochu and gin.
Mirai Sake International LTD also imports most of the products directly from Japan, and distributes to restaurants and hotels in the UK. Our mission is to create a new community of people around sake and other traditional Japanese drinks.

🍶Overview of the role
We are searching for motivated people who are driven to offer exceptional customer service and willing to spread our love for sake by joining our team as in-store staff.
An excellent opportunity for anyone who wants to learn more about sake and about Japanese culture!
Your main role is to support the store manager in all store-related and e-commerce operations, including the bar section.
THE ROLE INVOLVES MOVING, STRETCHING, LIFTING, BENDING AND CARRYING OF BOXES AND MATERIALS.
📌Duties
・Welcome and engage with customers as they enter the store
・Assess customers needs and suggest solutions to their problems.Give customers advice about sales and promotions, and recommend the best products.
・Work with processing payments
・Comprehensive understanding of the store products (this knowledge will be built through training sessions)
・Recommend the best products to customers
・Responsible for opening, closing, and end-of-day procedures
・Clean and restock the store throughout the day, before opening and after closing
・Assist with the organisation and hosting of internal and external events
・Prepare and serve drinks/food for our customers
・Follow all food safety training & ensure safe food
・Attend training sessions when required
・Support a culture of continuous improvement
・Act in accordance with the relevant Health & Safety policies and procedures, adhering to legislative compliance and company requirements.
・Packing products for E-commerce and wholesale orders.
・Troubleshoot any issues with courier service.
・Assisting social media (taking pics at the shop, generating ideas)
・Assisting warehouse/logistics (including, heavy lifting, moving, loading and travelling at warehouse site)
