Shop Assistant 店員

Location: London - Stratford E20 1GL

You will be based in Westfield Stratford City - the largest shopping mall in Europe - which houses a hotel, casino, cinema, bowling alley and 300 other retailers. The ultimate destination for food, fashion and fun! We have great transport link services connecting us to locals and long distance customers.

We are located on the ground floor, just adjacent to Waitrose.

Pay: £10.50/ hour,

Working hours : Permanent contract, Average 20-30 hours a week.

Job purpose: General shop floor duties such as replenishing shelves, helping with deliveries, ensuring enough stock, and keeping all working areas organised and clean.

Role and Responsibilities:

Topping up shelves.
Ordering stock.
Checking and receiving deliveries.
Assisting customers inquiries.
Upselling.
Operating the tills.
May be asked to assist the kitchen with basic food preparation;
This role requires you to stand for your whole shift (excluding breaks)
Lifting, bending, carrying and stretching on a regular basis
Heavy lifting up to 20kg

Person specification:

Minimum 1 year experience in retail
Excellent Customer Service skills and previous experience in retail.
Warm and friendly smile/ personality
Ideal candidate Must be available Mondays - Thursdays
Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced and busy environment.
Good communication skills (Conversational English is Essential)
Japanese language is desirable.
Being a strong team player and friendly to your colleagues and management.

A two hour trial shift will be required before employment is considered.
