Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Japanese culinary arts and a commitment to food safety and quality. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while managing food production. This position requires a blend of creativity, leadership, and culinary expertise within a fast-paced restaurant environment.
*Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality Japanese dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
Ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Assist in menu planning, including the development of new dishes that reflect seasonal ingredients and current Japanese dining trends.
*Requirements
Proven experience as a Sashimi & Nigiri Chef.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food preparation.
Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating innovative dishes.
Ability to fit in a team effectively, fostering a positive work environment in the kitchen.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and preparation.
Ability to work well under pressure during peak service times while maintaining high standards of quality.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule.
Experience in Japanese hot kitchen is preferred.
Fluency in Japanese is a plus.
