Japanese Language consultant
Freelance part-time job opportunity for native speakers of Japanese
We are looking for native speakers of Japanese to help us review our product.
what3words is a global addressing company that has given every 3m x 3m square on the planet an address of 3 words – for example, our London office is located at index.home.raft. 3 word addresses are more accurate than street addresses or postcodes, but much easier to remember and communicate than 16 digit lat-long coordinates. Please read more here: www.what3words.com/about, and do follow the links to have a look at our map too.
We are currently working to launch a Japanese version of our map, so that every 3m2 of the globe will have its own unique 3 word address in Japanese. This job comprises three main phases:
1) generating words for the wordlist needed to form 3 word addresses
2) making sure that the best, most common Japanese words are used, and
3) making sure that no unsuitable words end up in the 3 word addresses.
If you are interested in working with us, please write to Rachael Holborn – rachael.holborn@what3words.com - attaching your CV and using “what3words Japanese consultancy” as the email subject header. Before expressing your interest in our project, please familiarise yourself with our website thoroughly and explore our map. We’d love to hear what you think of what3words as well as what your 3 word address at home is!
