Job Description – Local Agent Operations
Miki Travel are looking for individuals who are passionate about the travel industry and motivated to join a growing organisation.
Our office in the City of London offers a multicultural environment and employs people with a diverse range of experience.
We bring incoming tourists from Japan to Europe, more recently expanding into incoming tours from South East Asia to Europe, and the provision of wholesale hotel accommodation and related online products.
Job Purpose
To operate tours in local agent areas - liaison between sales in Japan and local agents
Main Responsibilities
• Operate the groups
• Assist with tour coordination by liaising with tour leaders including offices in Japan and local agents
• Work with quotations co-operating closely with sales in order to obtain the best package price
• Finalise tour arrangements and costs
• Obtain information data
• You will need to take emergency calls and cover out-of-hours on a rota basis
Relevant Skills/Characteristics
• Fluent Japanese and English speaker
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Operations experience within the travel industry
• Knowledge of European destinations
• Well organised
• Able to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines
• Attention to detail
• Excellent negotiating skills
