Studio Manager

Tonkin Liu is looking for a studio manager to join its London-based practice.

Tonkin Liu is looking for a talented individual to join its lively and growing studio in Clerkenwell, preferably with experience working for a London-based architecture or design studio. Candidates must have exceptional organisational and management skills, be self-motivated, and hold the ambition to become long-term, integral member of our unique team.

Tonkin Liu is a London architecture studio with a reputation for high quality and award-winning commercial and residential architecture, landmark artworks and public realm. Since 2003, the studio has won ten RIBA Awards and nine international design competitions, and has exhibited at the Royal Academy, RIBA, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and internationally. We have recently been named as one of nine ‘RIBA Role Model Practices.’

Key role responsibilities:

– office organisation and administration
– financial management, including the production of fee schedules, forecasts, invoices, accounts, and managing expenses
– press and marketing, communications, and business development
– assisting in the preparation of bids, including EOIs, PQQs, and portfolios
– HR, recruitment, and project resourcing
– PA to the two directors

Skills required:

– utmost diligence and professionalism
– ability to work carefully and rigorously both independently and in a small team
– exceptional communication skills, including high level of written and verbal English
– high computer literatacy: ability to use accounting software such as Xero and Workflow Max, Microsoft Office, Mac OSX operating system, and Adobe Creative Suite
– interest in art, design, architecture

Remuneration subject to experience.
