IMPROVE YOUR ENGLISH WITH AN ARTIST TUTOR
I have enjoyed many years as a private tutor working with Japanese who wish to improve both their conversation abilities and understanding of English language and British culture. I have helped many Japanese to improve their english, such as civil servants, company executives, visiting academics and housewives. I offer an unique and interesting style of teaching. I am a practising contemporary fine artist. I was educated at Eton College, Columbia University in New York City and Georgetown University in Washington DC.
The best way to develop one's confidence and ability in speaking and understanding English is by having the chance to discuss a variety of subjects which are interesting to the student. Alongside my fine art practise, I have worked in film and music production, marketing and management, fashion, and creative thinking consultancy within a range of industries.
I live in Notting Hill - a couple of blocks off the Portobello Rd. Because I am a single father of an 8 year old girl, I am only available during the day. I like to offer competitive rates and am very flexible with any changes in your schedule. However, in order to do so, I prefer to take lessons where I live and have my studio.
Over the course of each lesson, I will make extensive notes relating to whatever comes up in our conversations, including vocabulary, interesting and useful phrases and expressions, nuance and general information. These study notes can be very useful revision aids to take with you after each lesson.
I am also very happy to work with any English language book or material which you might have been using already.
I offer proofreading of essays, reports and dissertations with additional dissertation tutoring if required.
My rates are:
90 minutes £25
120 minutes £30
60 minutes £20
I look forward to answering any questions you might have. Please e-mail or phone if you would like further information or to book a time for our first meeting.
