ロンドンにて、日本の伝統芸能公演を開催します✨

The Art of Japan では、日本が誇る二つの伝統芸能、箏と日本舞踊の魅力を一度に味わっていただけます。

十三本の絃を持つ箏は、繊細な響きと豊かな表現力を備えた日本の代表的な楽器です。本公演では、伝統技法に基づく演奏に加え、箏の可能性を広げる現代曲の独奏も披露し、古典と現代が交差する新たな魅力をお届けします。

日本舞踊は、物語性と所作の美しさを重んじる舞台芸術です。本公演では、箏の音色と舞踊が一体となって魅せる古典作品のコラボレーションを上演し、音と舞が織りなす伝統の世界をご堪能いただけます。

また、プログラムの中盤には、“箏と日本舞踊” をわかりやすく紹介する解説コーナーを設けています。
演目をより深く楽しむための背景や美意識を、初めての方にもわかりやすくお話しします。

We are pleased to present a Japanese traditional performance in London ✨

The Art of Japan offers a unique opportunity to experience the beauty of two treasured traditional art forms: koto and Nihonbuyo, in one programme.

The koto, a thirteen-stringed instrument, is one of Japan’s most iconic musical instruments, known for its delicate resonance and rich expressive range. In this performance, classical techniques are presented alongside a contemporary solo piece, revealing new possibilities of the koto where tradition and modernity intersect.

Nihonbuyo, Japanese classical dance, is a refined stage art that values storytelling and the beauty of movement. This programme features a classical collaborative work, in which live koto music and dance come together to create a richly expressive world of sound and movement.

In the middle of the programme, a single explanatory talk will be offered, introducing the background and aesthetics of both koto and Nihonbuyo. This segment is designed to help first-time audiences gain a deeper appreciation of the performances.
